Sometimes I have had issues with textures when importing into Sketchup. Click in the viewport to place the object. Browse for the file, select it and hit Import.

Unfortunately Certainteed has made changes to their website and I cannot simply download directly from them. dae files visible by choosing it as the file type. I downloaded and used handfulls of texture images that way and never experienced what I have described above. I used to be able to go to Certainteed's website and download texture images directly from them, while browsing and viewing different options.
The image I'm trying to use is of a Certainteed siding product. I checked my settings and I indeed have DISPLAY TEXTURE selected and not DISPLAY COLOR. Then look under the Textures heading and click on the Location snapshot.jpg link that is used for Color. With any of those terrains selected in Rhino, go to the Properties panel and select the Material tab. Its the same color as the textured image, but its not the image (siding). In the meanwhile, you can delete the texture file on your disk to get a different SketchUp file to look fine.
When I select the image from within Softplan, when editing the surface of a wall, the texture is displayed as just a solid color.
